volunteer & educational programs
MABC offers a variety of ways to get involved.

  volunteer opportunities
  homeless shelter
Founded in the 1984, in cooperation with The Partnership for the Homeless, MABC runs a shelter for the homeless on Friday and Saturday nights during the month of September through June. Our Guests are pre-screened by Peter’s Place, a division of The Partnership for the Homeless, where they receive counseling, job training and assistance in obtaining housing.

Our volunteers (a minimum of two per evening) arrive at 7:30 pm and sleep in the Shelter (separate, secured sleeping quarters and security provided). The Overnight Host prepares coffee in the morning and sees the Guests off at 6:15 am. You may volunteer for the Shelter by contacting Melvin Bell (862)202-1631 or mbell@adarc.org.
